MISSION: The mission of Violence Free Coalition (VFC) is to create a social climate in Warren County that holds domestic, youth, intimate partner, and sexual violence as unacceptable and preventable. The VFC promotes primary prevention of violence through education, building community resources, system change, and public awareness.
VISION: Violence Free Coalition is a recognized leader in violence prevention, committed to creating a culture of non-violence. Our diverse membership develops innovative approaches involving strong partnerships to prevent violence in our schools, families, and communities.
Violence Free Coalition approaches violence prevention through a primary approach, focusing on preventing violent behavior before it begins. The coalition is comprised of community agencies and private citizens representing law enforcement, judicial system, education, mental health, corporations, elder care, faith-based and philanthropic funders. We view violence prevention education and awareness as something which needs to take place throughout our community. It begins at home with parents and it takes root in our schools through education programs which we offer and train our educators to implement and incorporate into the daily curriculum and lives of students.
The Violence Free Coalition is open to all comments and suggestions about how to make Warren County a safe place to live work and socialize. We are planning a series of community forums focusing on safety related topics. If there is a topic relating to violence prevention and safety that you feel needs to be covered in a public forum, please contact the Violence Free Coalition at:

ARCS/VFC received the following comments from the Director of Warren County Early Learning Centers.
"In response to increasingly violent classroom behaviors and young children’s experience of family violence, ARCS provided training to the teachers at the WCCS Early Learning Centers on implementing the Incredible Years curriculum. This best-practice curriculum helps children learn positive social-emotional skills, and teaches them how to express feelings appropriately. Parents are involved when children bring home their Incredible Years “homework”, which encourages parents to reinforce the lessons about positive social skills."
